The Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference was a pivotal event for the Bay Area and San Francisco. With the City in the world spotlight for the first time since the founding of the United Nations in 1945, San Francisco was given the prime opportunity to showcase its strengths and change the doom-loop media narrative.
